Pape Academy FC turned in their most complete attacking display of the NLO 2025/2026 season, defeating Engr. Bala Bawa FC 3-1 to secure back-to-back victories in the Bida Centre.

After three matches in which goals had been hard to come by, the floodgates finally opened. Pape Academy were dominant from the first whistle, pressing high, moving the ball with confidence, and creating chances at will.

The academy side struck twice in a blistering first-half spell, the opener arriving from a corner-kick routine and the second following a flowing counter-attack that cut through the Engr. Bala Bawa defence from one end of the pitch to the other.

Engr. Bala Bawa pulled one back against the run of play early in the second half, but any hopes of a comeback were extinguished within minutes when Pape Academy restored their two-goal cushion, a composed finish capping another incisive move down the left flank.

The victory was built on the same defensive foundation that has defined the campaign so far, with the midfield trio controlling the tempo and full-backs Musa Ndagi and Taiwo Ogunleye providing constant width and attacking thrust.

"Today you saw what this team is capable of," a delighted Head Coach Aliyu Mohammed said afterwards. "Three goals, three points, and a performance full of courage and quality. The players deserve all the credit — they have worked tirelessly on the training ground and it is showing on the pitch."

The win took Pape Academy FC to 7 points from four matches ahead of the first-round finale against Atlantic Integral FC.
